Groups searching for a convenient yet authentic camping experience need look no further--Charleston Woodlands provides groups ranging in size from 8 to +100 with experiences tailored to our guests’ needs. Whether you’re planning a family reunion or hosting a company retreat, we’ve got you covered. 



Charleston Woodlands offers endless opportunities for group activities tailored to the preferences of our guests. Team-building activities, group nature hikes, and  low country boils are just a few of the activities groups can enjoy.


Groups enjoy access to Bailey’s Bath House featuring power, two showers and two bathrooms as well as rental options and a comprehensive list of preferred vendors.




Descriptions of our private campgrounds are listed below along with information about each site’s features and group size capacity.  Campers have the option of bringing their own tents or to rent our hassle free Sylvan Sport Go Elevated Tents. 



Fox Den forest at palmetto lake

Minimum Group Size: 20

Maximum Group Size: 200

Situated on a gorgeous wooded peninsula and nestled between two scenic lakes (Jim’s Lake and Palmetto Lake), Fox Den Forest boasts spectacular lakeside campsites and easy access to trails and lake activities.



Autumn Lake

Minimum Group Size: 8

Maximum Group Size: 100

Located just inside the front 300 acres of the property, Autumn Lake features two sizable grassy fields on the north and south rims of the lake. This site is ideal for groups wanting to get out on the water and explore the robust acreage of Charleston Woodlands. 



hidden lake

Minimum Group Size: 8

Maximum Group Size: 50

Discover Hidden Lake, the most secluded lake on the property. This tucked-away site is perfect for mid-sized groups who want to experience a remote, totally private getaway. 



Oak Forest at twin lakes

Minimum Group Size: 15

Maximum Group Size: 500

It’s hard to believe this hidden gem is located in Charleston’s backyard. Boasting one of the largest live oak forests in the lowcountry, Oak Forest at Twin Lakes features lakeside camping and options for special access to Swallowtail Swamp Trail. This campground is tucked in the far west corner of the sweeping Woodlands Oakforest on the Twin Lakes.
